Abide in Me.

Whoa this week has flown! I can't believe it is Saturday again already.

This morning I awoke at 10 thinking "oh I'll just sleep for another 1/2 hour then I'll get up." Haha, I'm learning that doesn't tend to happen. An hour and a half later I woke up to finding out that the house had to be cleaned by 1pm as a guest was coming round to have a tour of the place.

So after our rampage I now have a few minutes to sit and think. :)

To be honest there isn't really much to update you with this week, it has been busy with working in the kitchen, having lectures and doing our creative journals.

Our guest speaker this week was Cathy who came and talked on worship as well as leading us in worship. She is a very special lady, with a beautiful heart, always ready to hang out with us, giving us cards and words of encouragement.

It was a wonderful week of learning to rest in God's presence and how He longs to spend time with us. So often we treat Him with disrespect, pushing Him aside so we can do other things first. Why? Why should other things come before spending time with our Maker? I need to learn to go on dates with Him, just the two of us.

He whispers "come into my presence and sit a while."

That's my aim for this week to spend quality time with the lover of my soul and I want to encourage you to do it too.
