Leaves are falling...

"You won't relent until You have it all,

my heart is Yours.

I'll set You as a seal upon my heart

as a seal upon my arm,

for there is love that is as strong as death,

jealousy demanding as the grave,

and many water cannot quench this love.

Come be the fire inside of me,

come be the flame upon my heart,

come be the fire inside of me,

until You and I are one."

-Misty Edwards

Our God is glorious, majestic, gracious, merciful, abounding in love, compassionate, generous, kind, caring, worthy, faithful, provider and our Daddy. How wonderful it is to know that we are sons and daughters of the King of Kings. Wait...don't just read that and carry on. Think about it. What does it mean to you to be the child of the King of Kings. That means you resemble Him. You came from Him. You have His breath in you. He wants us to act as His sons and daughters. So lets do it!!!

Especially as this week has been so very busy I've enjoyed my times with Papa even more. I cherish the moments I get here and there with Him. I've found a little cubby up in the attic with two chairs, one for Him, one for me and it looks over the garden with the fountain. Peaceful. I'm learning how important it is to listen to Him. He has so much to say and often I'm eager to just get praying so I don't let Him get a word in edgeways but what kind of a relationship is that? Definitely not the best. So I'm working on it.

This week as an assignment we were told to have Jesus time and ask Him "what do You think of me?" Wow. It was a powerful time, God spoke a lot to me of how precious I am and that I can do anything through Him. We then declared these things out in class. There is such a power in saying things out loud. A declaration over one's life.

I don't know if you've ever had to cook for a large number of people. I never considered that I would. This week my friend, Katie and myself, are in charge of running the kitchen for 200 YWAMers from all over the East Coast of the U.S.A. We're having a big conference here in Monroe, NC. I'm very excited, although it is a LOT of work to do in a short space of time. So tomorrow is grocery shopping day. Whoop whoop!

Each day is full with worship, intercession, prayer, work duties, academics, lectures and a bit of free time here and there. ;) This week we managed a getaway to get some French Fries and just talk. It was simply wonderful.

I should let you know that I am leading one of the outreach teams to Thailand in January 2010. The groups have been split. My friend, Katie will be taking 2 girls (who are co-leading) from our school and 4 girls from the DTS to India and I will be taking my lovely friend Berkeley (who is leading with me) and 3 girls from the DTS to Thailand. I'm super excited and cannot wait to see what God will be doing throughus in that foreign land. :)

I hope you are all enjoying the chilly weather...beautiful time of year.

We're already playing Christmas music over here and we're getting geared up to Thanksgiving (the week after next) as it is a 4 day break for us plus lots of turkey eating. Yum.
