It was great to be reunited with people that I haven't seen...I know for only three weeks but it felt like a long time. This past week has been quite restful, thankfully! We've been having prayer meetings each morning along with worship, mainly praying for the base and finances.
The afternoons have more been filled with making plans for our Front Porch club-what Bible teaching we'll be doing as well as preparing crafts, games and snacks. It is one of the types of ministries that I love the most, being able to deepen relationships with the kids who live in our neighborhood is very rewarding. They are beautiful children, each with their own heart wrenching stories. This week they will be learning a song to dance to, to perform to their parents on Easter Saturday.
The evenings have been fun, just hanging out together, playing games, watching movies and playing pranks. The other night we watched Slumdog Millionaire, for some of us the third time round, but it is one movie that I love watching. Even though I was only in India for 7 weeks, it seems like a true depiction of India and some Indians I have asked agree.
This coming Friday I'll be on a plane flying to Seattle to see my close friend Jessie, whom I have not seen for two years. I can't wait to share stories and have late night chats.
God is revealing a lot to me and I'm waiting to hear what He has planned for me next. I find it hard to wait sometimes but I know that His plan is the all time best so I know it's worth it to wait.
I hope you are all well and that the weather is better over the pond.
