"Califor-ni-a"

I have never flown through such diverse weather before. Seattle rain to Oregon snow to California sunshine. It was truly beautiful flying over rivers and snow capped mountain tops to reach the destination of Redding, CA.

Talk about small airports, I thought Gatwick was fairly small, appears I'm wrong. Strolling out of Redding's airport I completely missed the one lane baggage claim. I love small towns.
Here it is much easier to appreciate God's handiwork, being surrounded on three sides by magnificent mountains...well it is hard to beat.

I'm staying with a couple of his professors who I had conveniently already met in England when they were passing through, on their way home from Luke's Jordan mission trip last year. I love being able to know several people here already. They are so hospitable and open with their house and time. Although it is not the most convenient time to be visiting Luke, with his finals next week, it is still great to catch up face to face with all of his news and actually meet the friends that he has mentioned.

There is a time to speak and a time to:
"Listen!"
This is the main word that the Lord has placed on my heart. I've been thinking more about what is to come and what I should be doing after the summer.
But I've been pondering, how many times do I actually just sit and listen? and soak in what the Lord has to say? To be honest not as much as I should or would like. I'm realising just how important it is to do just that.
I need to simply rest in His presence and be open to what He is saying. These next few weeks will be a time of focussing on hearing the voice of God and what His will is for my life.
I want to encourage all of you to seek the Lord and ask Him "what is on Your heart?" I know He is already answering.
